Subdivide
Ten acre plot won't get a glance.
Sells great when it's called a ranch.
You decorate Montana sod
With architecture from Cape Cod.
Let's checker-board the mountain side.
Come on, Gal, let's subdivide.
Let's sell the whole damned ranch right now.
Can't make nothin' raisin' cows.
Good-bye Circle Double Bar.
Hello, cowboy movie star.
Mama's sick and Daddy's died.
So come on, Gal, let's subdivide.
A mountain meadow don't mean much.
Condos add that special touch.
They pay hard cash for mountain air,
'Specially with a golf course there,
And restaurants and pony rides.
So come on, Gal, let's subdivide.
When you look down from outer space,
Something's on that Last Best Place.
It splits and grows and spreads and swells
Like subdividing cancer cells.
No medicine can turn this tide.
So come on, Gal, let's subdivide.
