Children definitely love routines. DH & I really aren't routine people, or at least we don't see ourselves that way. I am sure we have some small routines but not really. I read and read and read about kids needing routines and what routines meant for them. Lately our son expects to wake up get milk, fig newton, play in the sink, get dressed, go outside and play in the dirt. He holds my hand and walks me to the areas to remind me that that is what he is suppose to be doing. This we be slightly problematic when it gets colder. We will have to develop a new routine.
I have been talking about and trying to remember to clean up and organize the basement so that we can go down there and paint, glue, etc. DH said that it will be cold down there as well. :(
